Whether youโre just starting your fitness journey or you want some lazy girl workouts for when youโre not feeling it, these exercises are gonna be your best friend.
Personally, I’m not the most ambitious when it comes to toning my body, but when I find just the right lazy girl workout, I’m happy to work it into my weekly routine.
And if you’re the same way, or you just don’t have the time to get in shape, then that’s fine. That’s one of the reasons why I made this list of lazy fit exercises.
I wanted to find some more beginner-friendly workouts you could do everyday to get in shape even when youโre not feeling it.
So find a lazy workout that works for you, schedule some time into your day to try it out, and get in shape at your own pace. Itโs all about small steps now that lead to big results later on.
1. One Song Workout: Icona Pop โI Love Itโ

This gateway workout is great if you donโt have much time in your day to exercise. Also, itโs a fun song to exercise to and itโll help you to keep pace.
And in 2:35, youโll get your heart racing and some sweat action going onโฆbut thatโs it! Unless you want to do it a second time, then go for it!
2. Lazy Girl Inner-Thigh Exercises

If itโs summer, then you want to look good in a bathing suit and even if itโs winter, it still feels great to know that your legs are in shape. And besides, getting your thighs fit isn’t the only great thing about these exercises; it’s the fact that youโre on your back. Canโt get lazier than that!
3. 15 Minute Total Body Workout

They say to exercise 30 minutes a day. But if you donโt have time for that, and you have time for more than just a 1 song workout, then this one might be just right. It’s a lot less intimidating, and can help you to build consistency each week.
4. 7 Minute Hiit Workout

Now high-intensity training is a great way to get fit fast. And this oneโs awesome since itโs shortened down for us people who want to burn a lot of calories, but donโt want to spend too long doing it.
5. 5 Minutes of Your Time for Some Flat Abs

I thought that the name for this lazy exercise was just a bit deceiving (I did not get flat abs in just 5 minutes), but I get their point.
If you do this 5-minute workout every day, youโre bound to get flat abs. Which is pretty great since 5 minutes on my abs is probably more than enough time for me to focus on one part of my body.
6. 25 Ab Workouts for Women

If youโre really in a rush and can only do so many lazy exercises, then try one or two of these workouts for a couple of minutes and call it good. Find any time you can to getting healthier and start feeling good.
7. No Squats Butt Workout

Now if squats really arenโt your thing, then these exercises are perfect for you. Also, youโre laying down, so if you don’t even want to get out of bed, but still wanna get in shape, then this oneโs probably for you.
8. 3 Song Workout

You and I both know that songs make it easier to work out; they get you pumped and ready to go. And Buzzfeedโs 10-minute 3-song workout shows you what songs to exercise to and feel the burn.. but not for very long of course!
Also, if you donโt feel like working out, then this is a great one to try!
9. 3-Minute Workout for Arms

Now talk about lazy, this is a quick exercise that can get your heart rate up, but not make you sweat too much. Pretty easy right?
10. 3-Song 10-Minute Workout

Songs are a great way to get you going while working out, and this 3-song workout is an awesome way to do a short exercise routine. And especially if youโre not feeling the whole 30 minute daily workout routine.
11. 5-Minute Plank Workout

For just five minutes, you can get a full-body workout and feel a bit of a burn without getting angry at the fact that youโre working out and you donโt like working out. Itโs enough to burn some calories, but not enough to ruin the rest of your week with an achy body.
12. Fat Burning 15-Minute Workout

This one is just 15-minutes, but itโs definitely not a 30-minute workout, right? Those are just torture.
Also, this one’s cool because it works on your whole body, and is broken down into small, manageable steps!

13. Easy(ish) Circuit

The best part about this exercise is that you can burn some major calories, but also take some rests in between. Itโs pretty simple and allows some muscle gain to happen.
14. 5-Minute Lose the Pooch Workout

Quick and easy, this is a great workout so you can lose those extra couple of pounds. No need for that muffin top to stick around when you can just do these lazy girl workouts throughout the week!

15. 15-Minute Legs and Glutes Workout

If you wanna give your legs and glutes a good lift and get rid of some cellulite, then this super easy and low-impact workout is just for you.
Also, low-impact can be so much better for certain people’s bodies, so give it a try and see how you feel by the end of the week! Your body might just like it better than high-impact workouts.

16. Quick Workout for the Lower-Body

Now if you wanna get some serious muscle action going on with your lower body, then try these exercises out. They’re super simple and well… lazy.
17. Do-Anywhere Lower-Body Workout

More lower-body workouts! But I donโt know about doing it from anywhere. I mean if I started doing this in an airport, Iโm pretty sure Iโd get some weird looks.
18. 15-Minute Abs Workout

Now for the abs! If you have a little bit of pudge (love handles) on your stomach, then this is the perfect easy (lazy) exercise to do.
Also, for some of these, you don’t even have to get out of bed!
19. 5-Minute Arm Toning Workout

If your arms are your weak spot, but you still wanna rock those sleeveless shirts, then this 5-minute lazy exercise is perfect for you!
This quick workout routine requires dumbbells, but if you don’t have any, you can use something else with a similar weight instead.
20. Under 6 Minutes Butt Exercises

Having strong gluteal muscles (the muscles that shape your butt) reach far beyond your appearance. Your glutes work to stabilize the pelvis and so much more.
And if you want to get healthy and have strong glutes to support your body, then this is a great exercise to try!
21. 5-Minute Do-Anywhere Workout

Yes, it’s intense and you’ll be trying to catch your breath, but it’s only for 5 minutes. You can do it!
Also, a study showed that high-intensity interval training burns calories even hours after the workout. So when you come back to your couch, you’ll be still burning calories. How’s that for motivation?
22. 5-Minute Morning Yoga Routine

Not so keen on a high intensity workout? No worries, that just means today is a yoga day. Also, yoga has been proven to have certain health benefits, so take some time in the morning to give it a go!
23. 5-Minute Lean Legs Workout

Whether it’s summer or winter, it’s always a good time to workout your legs. You’re not only going to feel more confident, but a whole lot more healthy!
Also, it’s just 5 minutes, so you could do these while watching something!
24. Lazy Girl Exercises

This is a great set of exercises you can do quickly while watching a movie or your favorite series. Or a podcast if you just want to listen to something. Up to you!
25. Lazy Girl Arm Workout

Iโm definitely a fan of guides thatโll show you how to work out a specific part of your body. Itโs a good way to focus on one part, and then another part of your body the next day so you donโt get burned out.
26. Lazy Girl Ab Workout

Speaking of focusing on another part of your body, hereโs one for your abs! Itโs a super easy guide and if you do it every other day, you’ll start to see awesome results over time.
27. Lazy Girl Thigh Workout

Now its time to work on those legs. So once youโve exercised your abs and arms, you can start toning your legs and get them ready for bathing suit season.
Also, you can do these from you couch which means you can focus on that new series you’ve been wanting to watch.
28. Sofa Ab Workout

Speaking of the couch, here’s another one you can do from your sofa!
And if you’re binging Netflix, then these are some great exercises to try. Also, your friends will never call you a couch potato again!
29. Body Toning Workout for When You’re Watching TV

Again, just another awesome way to tone your body even when being lazy and watching TV. I feel like this really is the true definition of lazy girl workouts. You can stay in shape while also staying entertained.

I would struggle to do any of these exercises as I have had spinal surgery about 10 years ago, any suggestions for exercises that no not put a strain on my back.
I know that swimming is great for those who struggle with body pain, however, I’d talk to your doctor first before trying any type of exercises. Hope this helps! ๐

I like so many of these suggestions, BUT I have a large DRAM (2.5 finger split) left after 4 pregnancies, and I’ve heard so many conflicting opinions about what is safe to do, and what is not. So, of the LAZY variety, what ARE safe exercises?
To be honest Erika, I think this is perhaps a question for your physician? I would suggest swimming because it’s great for those dealing with things like this, but I don’t want to give a definite answer since I’m not a doctor and don’t want to hurt you.
